Peppermint Mocha

Peppermint Mocha Recipe
Just a quick post today to share a sweet idea with the coffee lovers.  My daughter gave me this idea.
(Have you noticed how often my ideas come from my daughter?)

Lately, I have been stopping (a little too often) by my favorite coffee shop to get a Peppermint Mocha.  Given how quickly that expense adds up, this idea makes so much more sense (or cents...get it?  Sorry, I couldn't resist...)

This is so ridiculously simple, I don't know why I wasn't doing it before now. Take a cup of your favorite coffee and drop in a Hershey kiss or two, then add a few drops of peppermint extract (or crushed candy canes--whichever you happen to have. I have only tried the peppermint extract, not the candy canes, although I've heard they work.  If you try them, let me know how well they dissolve.)  Warm in the microwave to melt the chocolate, then stir.  Finish with whipped cream.  Mmmm, I was so surprised at just how delicious this turned out to be!  So simple, but so good.  (It even makes instant coffee taste good.)

Try it and enjoy!
