Around My House

Although my brain is often racing around, I sometimes struggle finding new things to blog about. (Can you relate to that?)  So I'm joining in on another blogger's summer series idea, "Around My House."  Each week, I'm going to share a peek into the daily world that surrounds me.

Today, I thought I'd show you what makes my deck special.

You all know how much I love having flowers around in the spring and summer. So no surprise that my deck is surrounded by them. And what a great excuse to post another picture of them!  (Sadly, those gladioli are on their way out now, but when this picture was taken a little over a week ago, they were glorious. Glorious gladioli...)  (I just learned today that the plural of gladiolus is gladioli... Google is so much faster than hunting down a dictionary, isn't it?)  P.S. Try saying "glorious gladiolus" three times, fast.

So here's my back entry in all its gladioli glory. Well, and petunia glory too. (And Lucy in the window.)

Have a happy day!

  1. Oh this is wonderful Pam! I didn't realize about the plural of Gladioli either, but then I didn't realize my paper flowers were called "Paper Daisies" ~ thank heaven for Google indeed, LOL!
I'm so happy you joined in, thanks SO much! Maybe next week I'll try one of those "Mr Linky" things ~ who knows. ;-)

  2. The flowers are so beautiful! It has been raining so hard here in sunny (?!!) Suffolk (East of England) and all my flowers have fallen over. Maybe I need to take a photo of my garden each week and track it through the year...
