Well, and here are a couple of Halloween pictures that I meant to post weeks ago. Sunny feels a little more comfortable as a referee than as a princess, I think.
I found out Craftsy has free classes, so yesterday, I took the free mini-class, Professional Family Portraits. This class has good advice for anyone--for those new to portrait photography, as well as people who already have some portrait photography knowledge. While for me, some of the class was review, I still came away with new information, tips, and techniques. (You really can get professional looking portraits without fancy lighting.) I loved how concise and structured the lessons were. I loved that it was FREE.
Given how much I enjoyed this one, I'm looking forward to exploring the photography classes more. The prices are very good, and so is the content. Quite a bargain.
I'm going to take the Hand-Painted Cake class next. It's free too. (I didn't even realize there was such a thing as hand-painted cakes...) I'm thinking of trying the Crochet Lab class after that. It's not free, but it's reasonably priced and consists of nine lessons. I have basic crochet skills but could use a review, as I'd like to take my skills up a notch. My daughter wants me to teach her how NOT to make the edges of baby blankets crooked. Long story...
It's free to join Craftsy, and I recommend it highly.
