I made this particular collage card several years ago, and it's one of my favorites because it has a photo of my grandmother (a very interesting lady who usually wore a hat and served ice cream in slices! She played piano at a silent movie theater and met my grandfather there. )
The card was simple to make, actually. The multicolored background on the bigger torn piece was made with decorative chalks applied with cotton balls. I simply rubbed the chalk onto the background. I tore mulberry paper into pieces, attached those, and added a dried flower, a pretty stamp, gold photo corners, and a tiny doily.
You can't really make a mistake on a collage card, so have fun with it! I'm always looking for new ideas, so I'd love to know your favorite sites for inspiration!
This so pretty. I'm like you. I love old fashioned stuff. I'm a new follower.

I'd really love to have the time to sit down and be creative. I guess it will have to wait until the kids are older. Cute ideas! I'd love to practice calligraphy.
