Easy Peppermint Mocha

Just a quick post today to share a sweet idea with the coffee lovers.  It's really simple, but so good. I'm sure many of you have done this already, but if not, prepare to be happy.

Easy Peppermint Mocha

I had been stopping (a little too often) by my favorite coffee shop to get a Peppermint Mocha.  Given how quickly that expense adds up, this idea makes so much more sense (or cents...get it?  Sorry, I couldn't resist...)

This is so ridiculously simple, I don't know why I wasn't doing it before now. It's the laziest, easiest peppermint mocha you can make. (So, it's not really even a "recipe!")

Just take a cup of your favorite coffee and drop in a Hershey's kiss or two, then add a few drops of peppermint extract (or crushed candy canes - whichever you happen to have.)

Warm in the microwave to melt the chocolate, then stir.  Finish with whipped cream.

Of course, you don't have to use a Hershey kiss. Any chocolate you have around is fair game - chocolate chips, white or milk or semi-sweet or dark... You can't go wrong here, of course.

Mmmm, I was so surprised at just how delicious this turned out to be!  So simple, but so good.  (It even makes instant coffee taste good.)

Try it and enjoy!

  4. I love this not actually a recipe, and although I am not a fan of flavored coffee, you had me with mint, so I may just give this one a try.
