My husband and I would love to become more active Compassion volunteers at some point, but for now, sponsorship (and sharing about sponsorship on my blog) has become our simple way of helping. What an incredible opportunity it is to speak up for children in poverty and have it go out across the blogsphere. I'm in awe of the power each of us has to share something so important with so many people. Some of my readers have become sponsors as a result of reading about Compassion at my blog, and that is JOY.
Today, I want to share the new Compassion Bloggers website with you. They've changed it a bit, and made it more user friendly. http://compassionbloggers.com/ You can see a list of the Compassion bloggers there, and you can experience Compassion's ministry in Tanzania and other countries, through the words photos, and videos from a group of Compassion bloggers who traveled there. You can also pick up a banner or widget, if you'd like to share Compassion at your blog.
I love how eclectic the Compassion Bloggers list is--moms, writers, students, photographers, etc., etc., etc. Anyone who has a blog and would love to speak up for children in poverty can become a Compassion Blogger. (Maybe you? If you're interested, you can sign up at the Compassion Bloggers site.)
I hope you'll have a look at the new Compassion Bloggers site. And feel free to ask me questions about our Compassion kids, anytime.
Have a great week!
Hello Pam, Compassion sounds like a wonderful organization. You are blessed by being a blessing to those children. I've enjoyed my visit and I will see you again soon. :~)
ReplyDeleteHi Pam! Your compassionate heart for children in need -- and for Jesus -- shines brightly here! God bless you as you bless others through your words and your prayers and your faith in action.

Hi Pam! I'm stopping by from SITS! I just became a Compassion blogger too. We sponsor a sweet girl in Haiti. I would love to meet her face to face someday, on this side of Heaven! So nice to meet you today!
ReplyDeleteHi Pam! This was a very interesting read! My eldest daughter saw the movie the Machine Gun Preacher and now wants to work in Sudan. She has prepared a power point on Kony, the Lord's Resistance Army, and Sam Childers for her oral at school.
ReplyDeleteI'm passing the Liebster Blog Award on to you over at http://1camera1mom.blogspot.com/2012/08/my-liebster-blog-award-part-2.html
God bless!
Tina - mom of 4, author and blogger of 5 blogs
