I like the way the living room and kitchen look now, so I'm glad we had the work done (or at least I will be when I'm feeling better!) and I am grateful that the stove and refrigerator are no longer in the living room! (Although the fridge was kind of convenient in there...)
We learned this month that our Lucy, (our almost 18 year old Siamese cat and queen of our house) is in severe kidney failure. The good news is, she's getting fluids every week at the vet, and most importantly, she is happy, getting lots of lap time and snuggling. She still has energy to bat a marble around a box lid. So, while we may not have her for too much longer, we're happy for the sweet moments with her. She's skinnier now, but still beautiful.
There is so much to be grateful for, even amid the troubles of life. I'm glad you are here visiting!
Have a great weekend~

Ah, sorry you've been sick and sorry to hear about your cat. How blessed you are to have had her for 18 years! That is amazing...
ReplyDeletePlease make sure you don't have drywall from China; after Katrina, many homes were ruined even further because they used that stuff when rebuilding. Also caused health problems. I hope that's not your situation.

Oh, I'm so sorry you and your son have been sick and for your kitty. :(
ReplyDeleteI, too, have had a rough start to the new year. Keep the faith. I'm thinking of you and yours.
ReplyDeleteand I like your new header :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely recommend the duct cleaning...we have tried to start doing it regularly, and it has really made a difference!! :) So sorry to hear that you and your boy have been under the weather. UGH. And your cat is beautiful. We went through that with our cat 2 years ago, and it was hard. Stopping by from SITS.
ReplyDeletePopped in from SITS! I've been having my mom and sister come over and help me organize-- it's so much easier to be creative when that happens, you know?
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to wish you a happy Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteHey Pam! I love that you shared your creative space! Thanks for dropping by. Right now I actually found a sunny spot in our house and I'm working from there! They say we are getting 5-7 inches of snow later, so I am taking advantage of the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteAs for your cat...yes enjoy every moment, our dog is only 2 years old (an English Mastiff) and we have years of dog drool ahead of us! ;)
Good to hear you're doing much better Pam. We started remodeling our son's house in the beginning of this month. I know how that dust can get you guys sick. We were covered with dust from head to toe last week. Glad your cat is doing good too. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteAh, your cat Lucy is so Precious. I am sorry that she is not well. I hope that you and your son are now feeling better. It must be awesome to newly remodeled kitchen. ;o)
ReplyDeleteVisting from SITS. I'm sorry to hear about your cat. My cat is 15 & 1/2. I try to appreciate every day with her.
