Thursday Favorite Things #454

Welcome to the Thursday Favorite Things (TFT) link party. I'm really glad you're here.

If you have kids, have they started back to school yet?  Or back to hybrid school?  Or back to virtual school?  Yikes!  However you are doing school, I wish you and your kids a wonderful school year and strength to handle it.  Among other things, this pandemic has been a lesson in being flexible, true?

Along those same lines, on the blog this week, I shared about taking the leap to full homeschooling and how it could be a good time to start, for those who may have been considering it as an option.  You can read it here: Is The Leap to Full Homeschooling Right for You Now?

Also, don't forget to enter the Happy Day Giveaway for a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card!

Here are my features from last week's party:

  1. Hi, Pam; it's hard to believe that summer is ending, I also feel for children, parents and teachers, hoping everything will work out at schools or home, or both. Thank you for hosting another great party, and especially for choosing my Garibaldi cupcakes amongst your features, it sure has made my day! This week I am sharing two recipes inspired by the Mexican state of Nayarit #29 Zarandeado Fish and #33 Banana Bread. Have a wonderful week!

  2. Thanks so much for the feature of my Leaf Wreath - a great way to start the day!

  3. Pam, thanks so very much for featuring my Back to School Memories table —- such a lovely compliment! My sons are all grown now. In fact, we are heading to Philly next week to help our youngest move into his new home — a 100 year old, but fully gutted and redone row house. I’m sharing the wine cork wreath I made him as a housewarming gift this week.

  4. Thank you so much Pam! I am crazy about the floral wall art, what a cute idea! My links are #24, 25, 28. Good luck with the home schooling, it's a huge challenge I know...and you're right, flexibility is key!

  5. Thanks, as always, for hosting the party! My daughter started kindergarten this week virtually. It has gone better than I ever imagined it could. Such a relief, and she is loving it! Love your features this week. :)

  6. Pam, Those upside down Mexican cupcakes looks so intriguing! Thanks for hosting this party! Fun features this week!

  7. Thank you for hosting! This is what I featured the week of 8-23 to 8-27 on my blog. On Tuesday was a Healthy Pumpkin Smoothie. Wednesday was a Monte Cristo Croissant Sandwich. Thursday was Rolo Brownies. And winding up this week of was a Vanilla Bean Bread Pudding With Coffee Syrup. Enjoy!

  8. Our grandsons are both doing virtual learning this year. Not sure if it'll be the whole year though. We must all bend with the winds of change. Lovely features. Love K

  9. Thank you so much Pam for hosting!

  10. Oh boy, those mexican cupcakes sound like the perfect thing to go with my cup of coffee. Last week, my mom and I took a trip to Savannah, GA. We had such a great time.

Since I missed last week's party, I got my projects also linked up this week. I'm sharing my endless summer tote bag #175, my fall inspired granny square shawl that I recently updated #176, the perfect v-neck 3/4 sleeve sweater (my favorite style) #177, and the perfect Summer to Fall scarf #178.

  11. Definitely checking out your post on homeschooling! I graduated from homeschool back in the day, my kids graduated from homeschool, and they are homeschooling their children, as well! My parents are leaving behind a hsing legacy! I'm at 194-196 this week! Hugs!

  12. Thank you for hosting the party. I'm kind of glad that my kids are all out of school at this point, but I try to keep up with what is going on with my grandkids crazy school schedule. Our links this week are: #199, #200, & #201. Have an enjoyable week.
